Gospel för Hela Människan
Anna founded this choir in 2017 with a vision of creating community and consonance, and to spread light and joy through singing the gospel. The choir met initially in a living room in Östra Grevie, outside Malmö. Every rehearsal started with soup and home made bread, and was followed by singing around the grand piano. The size of the choir has now doubled, and meets every other week in the Hyllie Park Church, Malmö. There is no soup, but cheese, bread and fruit as lovely treats in the breaks.
The name ’Gospel för Hela Människan’ – (’Gospel for The Whole Human’) – carries a double meaning. Gospel music enriches the whole human being – spirit, body and soul. But the choir name also points towards the organisation called Hela Människan (’The Whole Human’), which the choir supports through many of their concerts. And this support is mainly directed towards the shelter home for exposed women in Malmö named Noomi.
In addition to their own concerts and participation in worship services, the choir every now and then has the joy of collaborating with other artists and choirs, among others Per-Erik Hallin, Peter Hallström and the choir One Nation led by Jonas Engström.
